DENALI selects candidates for nutraceutical development based on the quality of ethnomedicinal documentation and correlation of traditional uses with overall good health or alleviation of various health problems. This ethnomedicinal information is corroborated with extensive in-house research, independent laboratory evaluations and comparisons, and further substantiation with data in the scientific literature. We have identified scientific evidence that demonstrates Alaska Natives' historical relative freedom from chronic conditions such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes and complications, and cancer, and the traditional knowledge they possess for management of pain, and acute conditions such as injury and infection.

choc The Company is committed to developing and commercializing products that are based on prolific source plants or those harvested by a sustainable process. The principal component of our flagship product, AuroraBlue, is a Vaccinium species considered by some to be an invasive weed. The same is true of the dandelions used in AuroraGreen. Although the source plants for rosehips used in AuroraRed are not considered to be weeds, they grow vigorously in the wild throughout all of Alaska. We work closely with Alaska Native groups that provide counsel and harvesters for our current and future products. Their participation is essential for DENALI's success, and for health and well-being of their communities and our customers.

jacobDENALI has targeted over 150 plant candidates from all over Alaska for further nutraceutical research and development. Of these, we currently offer RWD (click here) processed:

Lingonberry (Vaccinium vitis-idaea L.)

Crowberry (Empetrum nigrum L.)

Jacob Berry (Cornus canadensis L. x suecica L.)

heracSalmonberry (Rubus spectabilis Pursh)

Cloudberry (Rubus chamaemorus L.)

Himalayan Blackberry (Rubus armeniacus Focke)

Red Elderberry (Sambucus racemosa L.)

Highbush Cranberry (Viburnum edule L.)

Berry blends have been consumed for thousands of years in Alaska and had special meaning at ceremonial events in celebration of prosperity and good health. DENALI is extending these traditions through modern science toward the development of a proprietary 'purple' blend based primarily on AuroraBlue and AuroraRed.

devilDENALI is actively engaged in the development of a proprietary 'green' blend based on AuroraGreen. This product will contain ingredients that are not found in any other commercially available vegetable-based product. Consistent with DENALI's mission to provide the highest quality, novel wild-crafted ingredients, we are striving to create unique blends that are replete in flavonoids and other critical nutrients - unlike any currently on the market.

An additional proprietary product under development, SureBet™, is based on birch bark and will be available as an individual ingredient or as part of our blends. We welcome inquiries about our progress (click here).
