AuroraBlue®

AuroraBlue, DENALI's flagship product, is a proprietary blend of unique and truly wild Vaccinium species (blueberries, huckleberries and bilberries), hand-picked from Alaska's vast wilderness. These berries have been revered for health protective benefits over thousands of years by numerous Alaska Native cultures that survived with good health in exceptionally harsh environments. DENALI acknowledges this history and manufactures AuroraBlue through gentle and efficient process that preserves the biochemical basis of the plants' traditional attributes (click here).

AuroraBlue is a whole berry preparation, not an extract. It is intensely deep purple in color and endowed with a pleasant, but characteristic, wild blueberry flavor and aroma and has been formulated successfully in many types of berry and fruit blends.

Offered as a premium ingredient for use in supplement formulations and dosage forms specifying the highest quality available, it delivers 12-20% total flavonoids, measured as >4% anthocyanins, >6% polyphenolics, and >3% proanthocyanidins (wt/wt). To meet the needs of value-oriented customers, it is available in a more economical food/beverage grade offering a minimum of 8% total flavonoids, measured as >2.5% anthocyanins and >4% polyphenolics (wt/wt).

Depending upon grade, AuroraBlue possesses an oxygen radical absorbing capacity (ORAC) value against peroxyls of 800-1200 TE/gram. Both grades offer substantial hyroxyl radical (HORAC) and peroxynitrite (NORAC) absorbing capacities. Please contact us for more detailed data (click here).
