DENALI's products originate from unique species that have adapted to survive in the harsh Alaska wilderness and have not been developed previously on a commercial scale. All of our products are harvested with the cooperation of Alaska Natives, Canada's First Nations or other indigenous circumpolar peoples on land they own or hold rights to utilize. An integral part of DENALI's corporate mission is to promote economic opportunity for these remote communities. The raw materials are hand-harvested from extremely rough terrain, but according to a sustainable protocol that maintains hygienic standards and proper frozen storage and transport conditions. DENALI is working to enhance our supply chain and become fully compliant with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration by July, 2010.
The frozen raw materials are processed initially by rapid and gentle Refractance Window® drying (RWD) technology (www.mcdtechnologiesinc.com). The RWD products emerge from the drier as whole food flakes with consistently exceptional nutrient, flavor, color, and aroma retention. The flakes may be used in a variety of formulations without subsequent processing, but are amenable to rehydration, milling, or encapsulation/coating. The flakes are a concentrated source of nutrients and support efficient extraction procedures.
DENALI's proprietary blends, AuroraBlue, AuroraRed, and AuroraGreen are tested routinely for a wide variety of pesticides, herbicides, heavy metals and microbial counts and are virtually free of these contaminants, at levels that are far lower than in competing products. Our products contain absolutely no added ingredients, fillers, extenders, or adulterants. In addition, they contain <2% moisture and have a shelf-life of three years unopened under proper storage conditions.
Our products are accompanied by a detailed Certificate of Analysis. Independent laboratories document a consistently impressive 'fingerprint' of anthocyanins, proanthocyanidins, polyphenolics, carotenoids, vitamins, minerals, and other important nutrients when compared to any competing commercial products.
